Show and Tell Friday - Generations

Today is Show and Tell Friday. Kelli at "There is no Place Like Home" is hosting this really fun event. If you want to join in or just read about other people's treasures and the stories behind them you can go there by clicking on the icon below.

Today I am sharing three pictures in honor of Mother's Day. The first one is my grandma holding my mom, the second one is my mom holding me and the last one is me holding my daughter.

I am very blessed to have had a mom and grandma that loved the Lord and their family very much. They layed down their lives for their children and raised them in the knowledge of the Lord and through the grace of God all of their children served the Lord. I know that Mother's Day can be a source of great joy for some and also a time of great sadness for others. My heart goes out to those who are in pain because of a death of a loved one, the loss of relationship with someone or the loss of hope or a dream of having a child. Mother's Day was a sad time for me for many years after my mom died and I was single. The Lord did turn my mourning into dancing when he brought my wonderful husband and precious daughter into my life after many years of waiting. If you are sad this weekend, please know that the Lord loves you and cares so deeply for you. I think of the Lord's words in Isaiah 49:15, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! "

What beautiful pictures Elena, and how like you Mary is in the last little photo - she always seems to me in photos to be a really even mix of you and her Daddy, but in this photo she is just the beautiful image of her Mummy! Blessings to you for the weekend, and special prayers to you on Mother's Day sweet friend. Fiona x
