Pear Blossom Parade

It was perfect spring day for a parade.  We went with some friends to the pear blossom parade.  They leave about a mile from the down town and we had a great walk through the older residential area.  So many pretty flowers blooming and a few chickens it was great.  We set up our chairs by the old library park to watch.

There was wonderful display of horses, fire engines, tractors, marching bands, dance troops and cute babies.  There was lots of candy being thrown to the crowd and balloons for the little kids.

Mary is smiling because the Harry & David float was throwing chocolate truffles in celebration of them getting an entry into the Guinesis's Book of World Records this year for making the largest cinnamon roll.

This adorable chicken coupe and chickens were in a yard on our walk home.  It gave us inspiration for our coupe when we get ready to build ours!
